That stuff you're afraid to talk about...the sin you think is too messy? We unpack that here...

Through good and bad, sadness and joy, my heart lies with showing the goodness of God in all seasons. Especially the messy ones.

There is                  in the chaos,

Mess,

there is meaning in the

Every day society tells us that life has to be perfect and orderly to be beautiful. Our day-to-day should be a nothing less than perfect. We need a flawless aesthetic, a five year plan and perfectly curated social media. There's nothing glamorous about disorder and uncertainty. It's not "normal" to struggle.

But God wants to use those ugly parts, too. Those broken memories, those hidden struggles, and those less than beautiful moments.

God wants to use the ugly stuff, too...

How far along: 27 weeks…which means that we hit the third trimester NEXT WEEK. Can you believe it?! How big is the baby: This week, your baby weighs almost 2 pounds (like a head of cauliflower) and is about 14 1/2 inches long with her legs extended. She’s sleeping and waking at regular intervals, opening […]

27 Week Bumpdate

I have never been a “life of the party” kind of person. I’ve never been one who would randomly walk up and introduce myself to someone I’ve never met (which explains why I’ve yet to attend a Blog Conference). I don’t go out on a limb when it comes to acquiring new friends or expanding […]

Motherhood Robbed me of my Social Skills

I was completely blown away by the response that I received after my post last week on starting your own design business. I knew that there were many of you who were interested in getting started, but I had no IDEA that I’d receive the feedback that I did. I had comments, Facebook messages and emails […]

How far along: 26 weeks…10 weeks till full term! How big is the baby: he network of nerves in your baby’s ears is better developed and more sensitive than before. He may now be able to hear both your voice and your partner’s as you chat with each other. He’s inhaling and exhaling small amounts […]

How far along: 25 Weeks…only 11 to go till full term! How big is the baby: Head to heels, your baby now measures about 13 1/2 inches. Her weight — a pound and a half — isn’t much more than an average rutabaga, but she’s beginning to exchange her long, lean look for some baby fat. […]

25 Week Bumpdate

The last two weeks have been…difficult. To say the least. Aside from the constant nagging backache, being completely exhausted, the round ligament pain, a few work frustrations, and my sudden need to clean every surface in sight (despite aforementioned exhaustion)…I’m convinced it’s a full moon because Noah has been difficult. Yes. This “sweet, innocent” little person […]

How far along: 24 weeks! Hooray for Viability!! Granted, we’re hoping baby boy stays put for at least 14 more weeks or so, it’s nice to have reached this milestone and know that if something happened, they would at least attempt to do something to save our sweet boy (and that his odds of survival have increased […]

24 Week Bumpdate

A few months ago I was contacted by Elizabeth of Little Bitty Toys and asked if I’d be interested in reviewing a set of her toys. My friend Amy is her sister and she had several sets of these that her daughter used to play with and Noah loved them. He was so excited to land […]

Little Bitty Toys Review & Giveaway

I mentioned the other day that the most frequent question we (well, more me I think) were getting from people was whether or not we are disappointed that we are having another boy. People who barely know us have given looks of what seems like sympathy when we say we are having another boy. People have […]

I had so many of you ask me how we decided on baby names after I revealed our sweet boys name and Gender on InstaGram. The truth is, the husband and I have had this little guys’ name picked out since his brother was born. We’ve always had two boy names and one girl name picked […]
