That stuff you're afraid to talk about...the sin you think is too messy? We unpack that here...

There is purpose behind the

There is                  in the chaos,

Mess,

there is meaning in the

Every day society tells us that life has to be perfect and orderly to be beautiful. Our day-to-day should be a nothing less than perfect. We need a flawless aesthetic, a five year plan and perfectly curated social media. There's nothing glamorous about disorder and uncertainty. It's not "normal" to struggle.

But God wants to use those ugly parts, too. Those broken memories, those hidden struggles, and those less than beautiful moments.

God wants to use the ugly stuff, too...

I received an email this summer from Dana requesting a logo and business material for a new salon she was opening. I didn’t realize it then, but the salon (and Dana) was opening right here on our own tiny little island in Alaska. How exciting to have been able to create material for a local […]

Another one of the many sites I’ve launched in the last few weeks. This site was a lot of fun to create and tested my “professional” side. Creating quality, professional and content appropriate logos and websites are always a challenge, but I think this site turned out great!  Make sure to check out Business Solutions, […]

Can you guys believe that next week is Christmas?! Have you done your shopping yet? I finished up yesterday (finally). The only thing I’m really lacking is a few more things for the little guys’ stocking. Stockings were always one of my favorites parts of Christmas growing up. Candy, tiny little trinkets that usually ended […]

Feature Friday | Seeing the Glitter

Growing up, I didn’t get in a whole lot of trouble. I had my moments (like all kids), but for the most part I tried to mind my P’s and Q’s. I didn’t like punishment. I didn’t like disappointing my parents. So, I did whatever I had to to stay out of trouble. I remember, […]

When Parent’s Fail their Children

Feature Friday is slowly becoming pretty much my favorite day of the week. Reading the fantastic posts that other bloggers so generously contribute; being able to spotlight said bloggers-those that I both admire and respect. What’s not to love? Plus, it gives me a much needed break from my regular blogging duties. I’m hoping to […]

Nothing makes this little boy happier than a day in the snow. You’d never know that he was born in Florida and spent a better part of his life enjoying warm temperatures, ridiculous humidity and the beach scene. While he adores the water and being near the ocean, this kid loves the snow. Sledding, snowball […]

I aplogize for the delay in this week’s Feature Friday post. This is the second time I’ve had a post scheduled and it hasn’t gone live. What gives? I am so, so excited about this weeks Feature Friday Blogger! Many of you probably know Jessica from My Time As Mom. She’s absolutely hilarious, writes helpful […]

Feature Friday | What Makes a Bad Mom?

I promised that I was going to continue Monday’s post about Christmas traditions and memories today. But, despite how PHENOMENAL my SITS Day was yesterday, last night I hit a wall (not literally). I came down off my SITS high, read through nearly 100 amazing comments (you guys seriously rock!) and then just… fizzled out… […]

As per tradition, we set up our Christmas Tree and got out our Holiday Decorations on Friday. Four boxes of Christmas lights, several hours, and a couple of hundred dollars later we have a tree decorated, a wreath on the front door and a handful of presents already wrapped and waiting for Christmas Eve. Since […]
