That stuff you're afraid to talk about...the sin you think is too messy? We unpack that here...

Mess,

there is meaning in the

We need a flawless aesthetic, a five year plan and perfectly curated social media. There's nothing glamorous about disorder and uncertainty. It's not "normal" to struggle.

But God wants to use those ugly parts, too. Those broken memories, those hidden struggles, and those less than beautiful moments.

God wants to use the ugly stuff, too...

I don’t do well with time frames, guys. As I’m sure you can tell seeing as how two of the three Fervent posts so far have been late. It’s not that I don’t try to get these up on time, but sometimes when the good Lord is doing work in an area of your life, you […]

Spiritual Identity Crisis //Fervent Week 3

If I were your enemy, I’d disguise myself and manipulate your perspectives so that you’d be focused on the wrong culprit-your husband, your friend, your hurt, your finances, anything or anyone except me… (via “Fervent” pg. 39) I’ve never paid any attention to Spiritual Warfare. The idea that the devil is out to get me…that his demons […]

Getting Focused // Fervent Week Two

Can I be bold for a minute? I was terrified of this book. I mean like, really terrified. Put it in the freezer kind of terrified (and I apologize to those of you who aren’t friends enthusiasts who have NO clue what anyone would put a book in the freezer. You can see why here…). I […]

In my almost 30 years, I’ve learned that I am pretty good at several things. I can make a mean batch of homemade out of the box cupcakes with real homemade icing. I even use a fancy bag to ice them and make them all kinds of pretty. I can purge with the best of them. […]

The past few days have been crazy busy for me. I have been trying my hardest to get caught up on laundry. I seriously have NO clue where it all comes from. I feel like I have been doing laundry ALL day and I still have 3 loads sitting in the floor in the hallway […]

Sometimes it amazes me how powerful and wonderous God is. I mean, it’s one of those things that I know but sometimes I don’t always acknowledge it. I take a lot for granted [I shouldn’t, and I’m working on it, but I do] and I don’t always take the time to give God all of the credit that […]

I don’t know how many of you out there follow MckMama or the story of her sweet little boy Stellen. Those of you who do, know the situation and the circumstance at hand. Those who don’t, as a mother, I encourage you to head over to her site and check it out. This little boy, and […]

From one mom to others…

For several days, the Lord has really been on my heart about my prayer life. [Notice, the prayer journal post from earlier today] He is really starting to drill into me the importance of maintaining a constant, open line of communication with him throughout each and every day. Becoming more of the Proverbs 31 woman […]
