That stuff you're afraid to talk about...the sin you think is too messy? We unpack that here...

Through good and bad, sadness and joy, my heart lies with showing the goodness of God in all seasons. Especially the messy ones.

When you’re a child, the world just seems…easy. Play time. Nap time. Bedtime. Breakfast. Lunch. Dinner. Good behavior. Bad Behavior. Noah’s going on four and a half years old. His world is slowly starting to become a bit more complex. He’s learning that bad choices bring about consequences. And consequences aren’t always fun. Just like […]

Black and White

There is a reason that I waited so long to write this post. For starters, I never even had intentions of breastfeeding baby boy #2. We had such a hard time with Noah…he wouldn’t latch, my milk supply was low, and we had ZERO support in that department where we were in Florida. I just […]

Thoughts on Breastfeeding

Did you guys think that I’d bailed on you completely and left the world of blogging behind? Not hardly. I’ve just been sucked into the realm of diapers, feedings and juggling two kids while attempting to maintain some sense of order around our house and sanity within my own head. Last week was my first […]

If you missed Part One of Jonah’s birth story, you can check it out right here. Once I was finished showering (I think I stayed there under the water for about 45 minutes), I was checked again. And had dilated to almost 6 cms. Progress! And it then became official that we would be having our baby […]

Jonah’s Birth Story (Part Two)

First I want to start off and say thank you to all of you who offered up so much support, encouragement and love through my blog, Facebook and Instagram over the last several days. After we made the decision to go ahead with a social induction on Monday, the rest of our day flew by. […]

Jonah’s Birth Story (Part One)

I Am…being induced tomorrow morning at 7:00 am. I Want…a safe and healthy baby; no matter how long the delivery lasts or what method it results in. I Have…a feeling that baby boy will weigh at least 8 pounds…easy. I Wish…that everyone would just say “Good Luck” and “We’re thinking of you” rather than continuing […]

I am…(Thoughts on Induction Day)

Our false alarm the Friday before last was a bit of a wake up call for me. I’ve been so focused on getting ready for baby boy and preparing for his arrival, that a small part of me forgot about something…well someone…else and the impact that this little baby’s arrival is going to have. His […]

Shifting Focus

Dear Noah, It’s been a while since mommy wrote a letter to you here on her blog. Mostly because I’ve been doing better about keeping up with my hand-written journal; so I write notes and memos and things that I want you to remember and know there. But, you have a very big day coming […]

Dear Big Brother

I ‘ve reached the point in my pregnancy where we are past the annoying “Oh, another boy…you must disappointed” and the “Wow! You still have xx numbers of weeks to go?” phase. Instead, we’ve hit the “Are You Ready?” phase. I know that most of the time people just ask this in a general “are […]
