The hubby and I have heard it over and over and over again since moving to “the rock” in mid-January…"Oh. You must be new here.” I’m not 100% sure if it’s our accents, our lack of layering [our clothes, that is] on the days that it’s 20 something degrees or the giant Alabama license plate on our vehicle. But it’s pretty painfully obvious that we aren’t “locals.” We are learning to mix and mingle and are adjusting to the 40 mile-per-hour winds and the ever changing temperatures. Just this past week it was 50 degrees one day with minimal wind…and the next it was 23 with 35 mph wind. The temperature changed just that quick. It’s as bad as being in Alabama where it goes from 80 to 20 in less than 24 hours. But oh well. At least it stays in the same general temperature area [meaning=COLD].

Lots of things in our lives are new right now: new city, new home, new adjustments; and for me personally, this new blog. I’ve been here at WordPress for a few weeks now and it’s most definitely feeling like home. I’ve started to really find my footing with the WordPress world and in the process I’ve noticed lots and lots of new faces [okay,maybe not face per say considering I don’t really “see” any of you…other than that tiny little photo beside your awesome comments], and I really want to get to know all of YOU.

You guys are the ones who make this blog go around; you are a large reason why I blog to begin with, and I want to get to know you! Some of you answered and told me about yourselves the last time I did this, but others of you have joined me since then and I’m eager to find out who you are, where you call home—both in real life and in the blog world [meaning, your blog address of course], some of your hobbies, your family…whatever you what to tell me. The biggest part of blogging is forming relationships, readerships and communities…and how else can we do that without getting to know one another?! Leave a little comment with a tiny bit [or a lot…doesn’t matter] about yourself and then hop around to visit a few others!
