We all go outside to play, of course! This past weekend was crazy busy for us. With the sun making its first appearance in weeks (literally), there was no question that most of our time would be spent outdoors soaking up the rays.
The husband got off work at lunch on Friday. We took the little guy to the park and took the dog for a swim. We splashed in the water. We played in the dirt and the rocks. We found out that the husband won’t be going to school until later next year after a second baby is born. Which officially means (in case you missed the announcement on Twitter) that we are trying to have a second baby. I. am. Excited.
I baked brownies, and two dozen oatmeal cookies. We marinated steaks. I took warm oatmeal cookies over to my fabulous neighbor (who’s all the time bringing goodies to my house), and ended up tagging along with her to a Family Session she was shooting to play second shooter for her. It’s been several months since I was able to snag photos of anyone’s child (or family member) other than my own, so the opportunity to go shoot alongside of her was much needed and appreciated. Not to mention, the kiddos that were there running around were precious!

The hubs and I tried to sleep late on Saturday, but Little Man just wasn’t having it. He spent part of the night in our bed, and part of the night in his. But when he was ready to get up, he didn’t hesitate to let us know that it was time to “get out of bed” and go “watch Mick-Mouse.” Crazy child. I plan to remind him of these early mornings when he’s a teenager. We headed out to the Kodiak Crab Festival Saturday morning, where I preceded to purchase a $10.00 Bloomin’ Onion that wasn’t worth two cent. Worst Onion Ever. The sun was shining, and we had a blast. After little man’s nap, we headed out with our neighbors to the campgrounds and spent the evening making Hotdogs, S’mores and Woofums. What? You’ve never heard of a Woofum? Then watch this video…they are phenomenal.
Sunday was spent editing photos, cleaning house, reviewing Amy’s Workshop Workbook for her (because you all know what mad English skills I have…ha!), and catching up some blogging while the husband worked. I made a mean homemade Lasagna for supper, attempted (and failed) to put the little man to bed early, and spent a few hours catching up on my DVR while playing on Pinterest and Twitter being overly productive and using my time wisely.
How was your weekend?
