Thoughts on the Baby’s Gender

It is great being mom to both, let me tell you. But also so very different. I did the spa dates, the fancy frilly dress-ups, the over acting skits, and the painful hair whoas. Somehow after that, the dirt and trucks and trains and alien attacks seem a welcome reprieve. The clothes aren’t as cool to pick out, but a little ‘un in a hat and tie, a button down shirt, or overalls and high tops is something special. I’ve been blessed with one of each and so this third (for me) and fifth for our combined brood can be pink or blue and I’m not sure I’d be phased at all… except our only daughter suddenly wants a sister at home. Now what?

I always loved finding out what we were having. And I totally understand how you feel about the gender. I thought I’d be disappointed when our first was a boy, but oh there’s nothing quite like being his mommy. 🙂
