About once or twice every few weeks, the clouds roll back for a few hours and the sun comes out. When the sun peaks out behind the cloud cover, everything else going on (aside from work for all these fabulous Coast Guard guys), just stops. If we’re lucky, it’s the weekend and we all get to go out to play. This past weekend, we had one of those lucky days. So, we forgot the chores, the laundry and the work and skipped out to the yard to grill some burgers.

We grilled cheeseburgers…

I enjoyed a nice bottle of coke in the bottle…
(is there anything better than an old fashioned bottle coke?)

We took in the views from the front yard…

And then, the clouds came back…and we went inside, wishing and waiting for the day when the sun comes back out to play and we can enjoy the nice warmer sunshine again.
