Through good and bad, sadness and joy, my heart lies with showing the goodness of God in all seasons. Especially the messy ones.
Every day society tells us that life has to be perfect and orderly to be beautiful. Our day-to-day should be a nothing less than perfect. We need a flawless aesthetic, a five year plan and perfectly curated social media. There's nothing glamorous about disorder and uncertainty. It's not "normal" to struggle.
But God wants to use those ugly parts, too. Those broken memories, those hidden struggles, and those less than beautiful moments.

The past few weeks have been ridiculously exhausting. Josh’s mom did come down to stay while Josh had surgery…but I may have failed to mention that she came the Friday BEFORE his surgery and left the day after it. So, for the past 2 weeks, I feel like I have been running around like a […]
Noah is getting his first tooth…ouch. He has not exactly been the happiest baby in the world this past week or so. He isn’t really sleeping that well…though Children’s Tylenol is helping some. He’s gnawing on EVERYTHING he can get his mouth on-except the teething ring we bought him. He is especially fond of chewing […]
Right now, I am reading the book Crazy Love by Francis Chan…talk about an eye opener. The book is about radical Christianity and how we should strive to live a life completely and totally sold-out for God. Chapter 4 is about Christians who do just enough to get by…the lukewarm people. They aren’t on fire […]
This post is all over Facebook right now, and since I don’t bother posting notes on my Facebook (because I have a blog that I enjoy keeping up to date more…) I decided to post it here. I’m not going to tag anyone. Mainly because I don’t really know anyone that reads this, but if […]
No, not me…or Josh. Noah. Last night marked the first full night that Noah has slept. He woke up bright-eyed, hungry and wide awake at 6:00 am this morning. Not that either of us minded. It sure beat getting up at 1:00 and then getting up 5:00…All night. Out to the world. It was fabulous. […]
I had been meaning to post a few new pictures of the baby, but hadn’t gotten around to it. These are actually 2 of the only new ones I have taken since Christmas…I am slacking on the photography lately. I took almost 300 pictures during the 10 days at Christmas…now I have to take the […]
I stole this idea from Kelli’s “Feelings of a Pregnant Woman” blog…LOL I’m not pregnant, but I thought the idea was a good one. I don’t think people stop often enough to put their thoughts together and look at what they are truly happy about, what they are sad about (and therefore need to work […]
I’ve been pondering on 2 different subjects for the past few days, and thought there is no better way to “ponder” than to play on blogger. I keep telling myself that I should “ponder” on these in-depth thoughts in my journal that way I would have all of it in one place, but it’s too […]
