It’s been a while since I’ve joined in with any of the iPhoneography or InstaGram linkups. I was no where near the InstaGram addict that I am now when I had my iTouch. But the camera quality on my iPhone is to die for. I find myself taking a lot more snapshots throughout the day now that I have it. I still pull out the big camera every once in a while, but the iPhone is so much more convenient and much quicker.
With Jonah on the way, I’m trying to keep a better record of our day to day stuff. Noah’s going to be FOUR in a few short months and I know that when little J arrives he’ll grow like a weed, too. Here’s what we were up to this week:
[ONE] I got up bright and early Monday morning and used my Erin Condren Planner to lay out my week and set my weekly goals. I’ve had much better luck managing things since I started doing that. [TWO] Noah drug out his Kaskey Kids Baseball Guys and played a little while I got some work done. [THREE] When I wouldn’t jump up at the drop of a hat to go fix him another snack he gave me his pretend “My mommy never does what I want…” face. Who’s buying? [FOUR] We established that Noah needs a haircut. [FIVE] I snacked on a huge bowl of grapes after lunch to curb my craving for sweets.
[ONE] Noah has gotten into the Cowboy phase of little boyhood. He got his first cap gun Monday afternoon and he spent the entire day playing bad guys. [TWO] Apparently, shooting up the bad guys made his tired, because he took a nice, long nap Tuesday afternoon. [THREE] My boys took me out to dinner for my birthday Tuesday night! I got to sport a few new things I ordered offline and felt nice and pregnant while I was getting ready. 21 weeks last week! [FOUR] The view from our dinner table. Noah got the window seat so he could watch the boats go by. [FIVE] I soaked in a bubble bath after we got back and Noah climbed in after I was done. Josh was ironing work clothes, so he and Noah danced around and acted like nuts while I propped up in bed to rest. It was a fabulous 25th birthday.
[ONE] Noah slept till 9:00 (which is late for him these days) and woke up all sweet and wanting to love on his mama. [TWO] I may or may not have had leftover chips and salsa for a mid morning snack. [THREE] Some friends joined us for dinner Tuesday night and brought me these gorgeous flowers. [FOUR] Wednesday after lunch Noah and I had to run some errands in town. He thought shooting himself in the mirror was hilarious. [FIVE] We stopped off at McDonalds for some Ice Cream after we ran errands. Milkshake and French Fries? Don’t mind if I do. [SIX] The husband had duty Wednesday night, so Cowboy Noah got all decked out to go check out the work scene when we took his daddy dinner.
[ONE] Noah had to wear his bandana from the time he woke up to the time he went to bed Thursday night. Because according to him, “that’s what cowboys do…” [TWO] Two days of naps in a row. SCORE. When he went down Thursday for a nap, I was happy to go down for one myself. [THREE] Jonah’s crib was delivered Thursday afternoon, so we spent the better part of Thursday night putting it together. Noah drug out his toolbox to help his daddy out. It was a blast for him.
Friday was like Christmas around here…[ONE] New books came for Noah and Jonah…The Little House and Bats Play Baseball. Needless to say the Bats Play Baseball has been a favorite so far. [TWO] My birthday present from the boys came in the mail, too! I picked out and customized one of Lisa Leonard’s gorgeous pieces. I absolutely LOVE it! [THREE] Jonah’s crib bedding from Jenny M’s Quilts came in the mail, too. I am absolutely in LOVE with this quilt and I’m so excited to use this with our baby boy.
So that was our week. How was yours?

& I love your new birthday present, so cute!
[…] Jonah’s crib and baby bedding were delivered as well as a few odds and ends for Noah and outfits for Jonah. We got the crib put together and the bedding setup and I dug out the one minuscule box of baby things we had leftover from when Noah was tiny. It was mostly baby blankets and burp cloths, but I got them washed and folded to put away for Jonah. So excited to keep counting down the weeks and meet this little boy! […]
What a great idea, and what a fun week.
I like the name Jonah!
Thank you, Carolyn! I used to do this more frequently, but time gets away from me. 🙂
Such a great week! And I love goodies in the mail too. 🙂 Have another wonderful week ahead!
Thank you, Alison! 🙂 Surprises in the mail are my favorite!
