  2. Kathy says:

°have you ever found yourself without passion for the things of Christ?
Yes, on more than one occasion.
°can you identify what brought you to that place? how did you feel?
It seems to happen when I become so busy that I miss my usual morning routine, when I don’t have my scheduled time of bible reading, prayer, study, and watching my regular podcasts. I feel drained and out of sorts, and I feel like I’ve let God down because I let other things distract me from my time with him.
°What is the main tactic you find the enemy using to target you in this area? Guilt – feeling that I let God down
°What tactics can you use to overcome the lack of passion you may be feeling right now or to prevent yourself from falling into that trap? Keep my morning routine, especially on those “busy days”, don’t allow myself to be distracted and sidelined by a hectic schedule. If a day arises where I can’t keep my regular routine, Remember that God just wants to hear from me and I can talk to Him anytime, anywhere.

  3. Andrea says:

*Have you ever found yourself without passion for the things of Christ? I feel like I’m at that place right now. I’m trying not to be here because I know we are living in the last days before Christ returns.

Can you identify what brought you to that place? How did you feel?
Being disappointed by Christian behavior brought me to where I am.

What is the main tactic you find the enemy using to target you in this area? For a while I stopped attending my church. I’m trying to go back but the longer I stay away the harder it is to go back.

What tactics can you use to overcome the lack of passion you may be feeling right now or to prevent yourself from falling into that trap? Although my church attendance has gone down I have been in the Word more and deepened my relationship with The Lord through prayer. And I’ve found this group!

  4. Joyce says:

Hi Courtney, thank you for this blog, it is an eye opener for me . I felt I had lost my passion for the things of God and reading your questions & answersI know now what I need to do to get / stay focus. I’m taking it one day at a time. I need to get into the word & be more intentional in my bible study. Thank you

  5. Kim Borchelt says:

*Have you ever found yourself without passion for the things of Christ?
I honestly can’t think of a direct situation or time but I am sure I have for I fall short of the Glory of God.

    * Can you identify what brought you to that place? How did you feel? I know in those times, I have felt as though I was alone which I know is untrue for His word says He will never leave me nor forsake me.

*What is the main tactic you find the enemy using to target you in this area (this will look different for everyone)?
Keeping me busy with other things, tending to family things or business situations and then I feel drained and tired and I keep pushing my time back to find that quiet time I need or alone time with the Word and in prayer and then I simply run out of daylight.

*What tactics can you use to overcome the lack of passion you may be feeling right now OR to prevent yourself from falling into that trap?
    Keep myself in the Word
    Accountability
    Prayer
