This past weekend we ventured out and did the traditional “Fall Festival” visit at the local Elementary School. I was hesitant to go becauseof the dozens upon dozens of kids that I’d have to face I’m so beyond pregnant right now and pretty much have to waddle everywhere I go. But, not wanting to miss out on an opportunity to spend quality time with my biggest boy while he’s the one and only, I caved and we went any way.
Noah had a blast. We missed out on the whole “fall festival” thing last year for some reason (I think I just missed the memo that they were having one), so big boy was pretty ecstatic about going to play games. In fact, that’s all he talked about doing…playing the games. He showed little interest in the crafts that they had set up and would have rather spent the entire time throwing bean bags and going fish.
It only took 20 minutes, but we did finally convince him to get his face painted. I mean, what’s a Fall Festival without face painting? He opted for a Spider and a Pumpkin.
My back was killing me by the time we got home, but he had fun and we came home with a bag full of random crap that I put straight in the trash toys that ended up on the floor and buried under my couch within minutes.

He is so cute! My oldest son refuses to get his face painted. No amount of convincing and bribing will ever work on him.
I was totally shocked when Noah agreed to get his done. He’s so funny about things like that. Eventually, for whatever reason, he caved. 🙂
Such a big boy!!!!!!
Ahh! tell me about it! Can’t believe he’s so big so fast…
It’s all worth it for a smile on that cute face!
Most definitely. 🙂 Isn’t everything when it comes to parenting?
