My week was swamped. Crazy, crazy busy. But I have to admit that some of your posts, some of your honest and heartfelt additions to my Reader this week, made me smile. Here are some must reads for this week. Make sure you stop by and check out these blogs. They are all fantastic in their own different and unique ways!
The Changes No One told me About by Tracy as shared on Mommy Words: This is one of those posts that I could have written myself. I found myself nodding in agreement, and reminiscing on the earlier days of motherhood. If you’re a new mom, or a soon to be mom, make sure you read this. It’s okay to feel lonely, and you are not the only one who’s felt that way.
Flaunting it All by Laura @ Mommy Miracles: It’s no secret that women of all age, shape and size long to be beautiful and feel desired by others. Laura addresses self-confidence, and the effects that bearing children has on a woman’s self-esteem. This post is so fabulous. I can honestly say that it might be one of my favorites, EVER.
I freaked a little when she brought out the Razor by Maegan @ Madeline Bea: This post almost brought tears to my eyes. How often do we feel compelled to share the real aspects of our life, but hold back because we’re scared? How often do we share only the mundane things, the simple and insignificant things? Maegan’s post is fantastic, and so raw and honest. Plus, you have to check out her rockin’ new do!
Half-full and Hopeful by Adriel @ The Mommyhood Memo’s: This post isn’t necessarily happy and cheerful. But, this post…the rawness, the honesty, the heartfelt wording…deserved to be shared. Adriel and her husband just found out that there is a chance that their new baby will have Down Syndrome. She shares her story of how she found out, the desperation in the hours that followed, and the hope that has emerged since then. If for no other reason, read this and say a prayer for them…but read it in hopes of catching some of her Faith and her determination to overcome whatever comes their way.
Project Optimist- Week Four hosted by Miranda @ Chloe’s Mom: Okay. This is technically something that I wrote, but I wanted to make sure you guys saw this post, and the entire series that Miranda is hosting on her blog. Those of you who are frequent here, are aware of my battle with depression throughout High School and College, and my battle with PPD in the months after my son was born. In this interview, I dive headfirst into some of the most daunting questions about depression and my struggles. Make sure you check out this post, and the rest of the series.
Congrats to all of the ladies featured today. Your blogs rock…if they didn’t, they wouldn’t be here. Hope you all have a fantastic weekend! I’ll be back on Monday for the Me Time Mondaylinkup! Don’t forget to get your posts ready!
