there is meaning in the

I received my new 75-300 mm zoom in the mail the other day [Saturday to be exact]. Naturally, I felt the need to get out in the 35 mile per hour winds and the below freezing temperatures to drive out to one of my favorite lookout places here on Kodiak Island to test out the […]

Feature Friday

There are just some things that I adore more than others. Like when my husband does completely random sweet and thoughtful things for me; or when the little guy comes up to me at sporadic moments and simply looks at me and says “Hug, Mama!” with his arms spread out. Finding my favorite tea bags […]

Simple Things

Every day around lunch time, you can find the little guy propped up in the window looking out waiting for his daddy to come home for lunch. After lunch, he climbs right back up in the same window seat and watches his daddy drive off…waving and smiling as he drives away. When 4:00 rolls around […]

Waiting on Daddy…

There are times that I step back from the mirror [or the computer] and wonder, what on EARTH am I thinking? It’s no lie. There are times when I honestly and truthfully just annoy myself. I sit back sometimes when I’m at my worst and wonder why my husband puts up with my unbelievably frustrating […]

I Annoy Myself

Being in a new home has given me a lot of perspective on change and adaptation…both of which we are doing a lot of lately. The husband is love, love, loving his new job at the clinic and I am so proud of him for pursuing what it was that he really, really wanted. He […]

How We Spend our Days

While I may not have a house just yet, I’ve been spending a lot of time trying to figure out how I want to decorate and coordinate said new house. A new friend made the mistake sure she let me know that we are allowed to paint in the Government Housing, just so long as […]

Color Me Happy

Contrary to popular belief, creative juice doesn’t just flow freely in most the minds of most bloggers. For most of us it’s an ongoing process and not something that comes naturally 24 hours a day. So to ease the troubled minds of some of the other moms/bloggers out there who may be feeling in the […]
