there is meaning in the

We need a flawless aesthetic, a five year plan and perfectly curated social media. There's nothing glamorous about disorder and uncertainty. It's not "normal" to struggle.

But God wants to use those ugly parts, too. Those broken memories, those hidden struggles, and those less than beautiful moments.

God wants to use the ugly stuff, too...

Make sure to check out my Photography Photos and Challenges for today! Click HERE. One of my all time favorite Christian songs is The Anchor Holds. I remember hearing it sung in churches and at revivals while growing up, and it’s always been a hymn that I clung to in times of trial and tribulation. […]

The Anchor Holds

I mentioned earlier, that we snagged some pretty awesome weather here on “the rock” this past weekend. We got a break from the dreary clouds and snow/rain mix and actually saw the sun shine! My hubs [being the fabulous man that he is] took me for a drive down by the bay. And I managed […]

Welcome back to another No Mom Talk Monday!  Unfortunately I don’t have any great, wonderful, super inspiring posts for you today. It’s been a chaotic and busy weekend, so I didn’t have much time to sit at the computer to write out any of my ideas. Sorry! 🙁 But I’ll be back tomorrow with fresh […]

Diary of a New Mom

No. This post is not a review of the Lifetime movie with the same name as my post. This post is more about the stigma and pressure that society places on the shoulders of parents; in particular the mom’s. There are tons of rules about how we are “supposed” to raise our children. Without question […]

Sins of the Mother

I feel like I’ve been somewhat lacking in creativity this past week. I think it is partly due to the dreary and snowy weather we’re getting. The sky is in a constant state of gray, and there is mushy, half melted snow all over the place. I found a place toward the back of the […]

If the past week and a half have shown me anything about life, it’s that it is fragile. The loss of a friend and her son, the tragedy in Japan, and the devastation experienced by my family in Alabama yesterday have left me emotionally weak, drained, and exasperated. My faith, unfortunately, has always been something […]
