Through good and bad, sadness and joy, my heart lies with showing the goodness of God in all seasons. Especially the messy ones.
Every day society tells us that life has to be perfect and orderly to be beautiful. Our day-to-day should be a nothing less than perfect. We need a flawless aesthetic, a five year plan and perfectly curated social media. There's nothing glamorous about disorder and uncertainty. It's not "normal" to struggle.
But God wants to use those ugly parts, too. Those broken memories, those hidden struggles, and those less than beautiful moments.

Happy Monday Everyone! Another week has come and gone, and Christmas is easing ever so close…Have you got your shopping done yet? Not I. We haven’t even started our Christmas shopping. I have a few ideas for things but seeing as how my husband is being stubborn and won’t tell me what he wants this […]
Hello my favorite loyal bloggy friends… I am in need of a teeny, tiny favor. You see that really cute little blinking button at the bottom of this post and over to your right under the “click it please…”heading. Could you do that for me? They reset all of the counters on Top Mommy Blogs […]
Christmas time is about sentiment. It’s about emotion. It’s about tradition. I pulled out our Christmas decorations on Monday afternoon. They sat boxed up in the corner, waiting for me to open them, until Tuesday evening. I was dreading this event. I wasn’t really looking forward to pulling them out of their boxes and having […]
“Give me neither proverty nor riches, but give me only my daily bread. Otherwise, I may have too much and disown you and say, ‘Who is the Lord?’ Or I may become poor and steal, and so dishonor the name of my God.” {Proverbs 30:8b-9} It’s that time of year again. It’s the Christmas Season…Layaway […]
It’s “Wifey Wednesday” over at “To Love, Honor, and Vaccum” and I am truly excited about today’s topic, because it’s something I feel like I can identify with. Today, Sheila is talking about how time consuming careers can be for our husbands and how mom’s sometimes feel as if they are raising their children on their […]
It amazes me the things that you begin think about when you have a child of your own. Things that normally would have never even crossed your mind become topics of household discussion and reason for debate. The latest topic? Santa Clause. I have never really thought twice about the idea of Santa Clause or […]
Well. My baby is no longer a baby…atleast, according to the “My First Haircut” Certificate he got today. I finally broke down and took my sweet little boy to have his beautiful little light brown curls chopped off. I was very proud of myself. I’m such an emotional person. I figured I would cry. But […]
This is the first time I have participated in “5 Question Friday” with Mama M at “My Little Life.” But seeing as how I am currently at a loss for things to blog about [Could it be all of the turkey making me sleepy? Or the black Friday shopping frenzy?], I decided today to join in […]
