That stuff you're afraid to talk about...the sin you think is too messy? We unpack that here...

Through good and bad, sadness and joy, my heart lies with showing the goodness of God in all seasons. Especially the messy ones.

Every day society tells us that life has to be perfect and orderly to be beautiful. Our day-to-day should be a nothing less than perfect. We need a flawless aesthetic, a five year plan and perfectly curated social media. There's nothing glamorous about disorder and uncertainty. It's not "normal" to struggle.

God wants to use the ugly stuff, too...

Okay, I promise I’m not going to name all of my cross-country drive posts after songs. But the first one was too easy…just as this one was.  🙂 Day Two of our journey left us in Memphis for the morning with Courtney and her little girl. We met at Starbucks first thing yesterday {Thursday} morning […]

Meet Me in St. Louis (Day Two)

Tuesday Evening: 10:20 pm That’s about how long I have to write this post… …just a moment. I’m surrounded by clothes, shoes, blankets, and un-endless amounts of random junk possessions attempting to finish all of the packing for our journey. I’ve been up and at em’ since before 7:00 this morning running errands and attempting […]

Happy 2011, everyone! I hope you all had a safe and exciting New Year’s Eve/Day. Me? I was asleep as the New Year rolled in and spent New Year’s Day eating {again…didn’t I do enough of that at Christmas?} and enjoying some time with family. Hard to believe we will be telling them goodbye in […]

Thanks so much for all of your thoughts and input on this series. Blogging is something that takes time. It can take months-maybe even a few years-to grow your blog enough to ever be considered a “professional.” There are a few mommy bloggers that reached their pinnacle through unfortunate family circumstances, and then for others […]

Happy New Year!! I hope everyone is having a safe and exciting New Year’s Eve…I’m home with my best guys; we’re getting too old to ring in the New Year. I am still shell shocked that it’s almost 2011 and another decade has gone by. And I still can’t believe how much my little guy […]

I wrote about the completely inaccurate (in my opinion) list of Top 50 Mommy Bloggers as chosen by Babble.com a few weeks ago. While there is absolutely no way that I could sit and list my favorite 50 blogs, I do want to give end of the year credit to my favorite ten. Blogging is […]

The Power of Social Media | Blogging Effectively Series

I’ve talked to a lot of moms in the recent months about who works harder and puts forth the most effort and works the hardest in their parenting roles: the mom or the dad. I’m certain that if you ask any mother you meet, they will tell you (naturally) that they do. The mother will […]

Mom vs. Dad

First of all, let me say how excited I am about the feedback I got from my introductory post yesterday. It seems that I’m not the only one who gets frustrated and confused by this blogging world. I searched several different areas of the blogosphere and have spent a lot of time analyzing the “Big […]
