That stuff you're afraid to talk about...the sin you think is too messy? We unpack that here...

There is                  in the chaos,

Mess,

there is meaning in the

Every day society tells us that life has to be perfect and orderly to be beautiful. Our day-to-day should be a nothing less than perfect. But God wants to use those ugly parts, too. Those broken memories, those hidden struggles, and those less than beautiful moments.

God wants to use the ugly stuff, too...

Still Life Standouts: September Winners & Quarterly Vote-off

Work is busy. Life is chaotic. And the only three words on my mind these past few days: I don’t know what everyone else has going on in life right now, but for me, it’s a constant state of dreams and ambitions. This has become a mantra. Why not me? Why not now? Why not? […]

Why Not?

I’ve always struggled with my self-esteem. This is no secret to anyone who reads this blog. I’ve talked about it openly, admitted that I’m my own worst enemy, and have slowly come to a point where I’ve learned to love myself, accept myself, and embrace the person I was created to be. But that didn’t […]

Dreaming your Dreams

When I found out in May of 2008 that I was pregnant, I didn’t realize the magnitude of what I was getting myself into. Sure, I knew that babies and children required constant care and supervision. There would be diapers to change, formula to fix, and plenty of sleep deprivation. Those are the things that […]

Why Kids are the Best Teachers

The laundry is overflowing onto the floor. Clean clothes stacked in a big wadded up pile wrinkling, which inevitably means they will need to be ironed. And dirty clothes spill out of the basket. There are a few stray black hairs from the dog littering the floor, which obviously means that my vacuum cleaner hasn’t made […]

Dear Noah, This is it baby boy. The last letter I will ever write to you… as a two year old. Because in exactly one month, you will be turning THREE. How did that happen? Didn’t you get the memo that you weren’t supposed to grow up so fast? That you needed to slow down, […]

The Last Letter

I’m kind of sitting here at the computer aimlessly trying to figure out what to share for today. Nothing is coming to mind right off the bat. Tends to happen on occasion for those of us who blog. Inspiration comes and inspiration goes. Post ideas come and then they pass. I have a few things […]

Another great (and busy!) week filled to the brim with fabulous posts. Seriously, I don’t know how you guys continue to do it. I sit down every single day with a notebook and a pen to jot down posts to include in this feature every week. And every single week, I find myself sitting here […]

The latest preview for a new design I’m working on for Kathryn! These are two of the three logos I designed for her new site. Of course, I can’t reveal the one she chose until her site is life, but it was my favorite of the three (as well as hers obviously).
