I admire your innocence. Your sense of certainty about the life you live. There’s no confusion. No doubt. No hesitation.
Just simplicity.
A little boy with everything in the world he could possibly need.
You haven’t experienced heartache yet (except for that time we had to wash Puppy and you thought she was gone forever).
You haven’t lost someone you love or had someone you care about betray you.
You haven’t struggled or cried over a decision and worried that it would ruin your life or someone else’s.
You haven’t made decisions that did change your life.
You haven’t lost sleep over your future and what it might hold.
You haven’t sacrificed for something you wanted; you haven’t burned bridges with people who have wronged you.
You just…live.
And love.
And bring more joy to my world than you could imagine.
Your simple, innocent little world makes up every ounce of this crazy, hectic, chaotic existence that I live in.
I love that you bring just a little bit of perspective to my life day in and day out.
A little black and white to the colors that sometimes blind me.

I love how your little man shows his teeth in pictures. If I didn’t stick my finger in his mouth to check I’d never know my little one has any!! I can’t wait for some teethy grins 🙂
Thank you, Sara! That was one of my biggest goals going into this project….to challenge myself to try new shots and push myself to really get out there and shoot week after week. The day to day can get busy, but I know going into the week that I have to take my pictures every single Wednesday. So I always make time for it. 🙂
I just posted a question as to when we were to link up about 2 minutes ago….literally. And now here it is! can you tell I’ve been waiting on the edge of my seat? Your little man is adorable. They grow up so quickly, don’t they?
Haha! I got the email notification that you had posted that right as I hit “publish!” Love that you’ve been itching to get linked up! Makes me excited! They really do grow too fast! 🙁

Thank you!! 🙂 I happen to think so, too. LOL
Beautiful post. I can’t get over your son’s eyes! Gorgeous!
Thank you, Barbie! Those baby blues are going to cause me some serious trouble when he’s old enough for the girls to come around, I’m sure.

He’s a total ham! 🙂 I’ve had people ask if he fakes his smile, but he’s just naturally a big cheesy grinner! 🙂
Awww this really makes me smile.
Won’t be long and it will be you, mama!! 🙂
Love this Courtney… so beautiful.
Thank you!! 🙂
I wish we could still have that innocence as adults. It would make life so much easier.
::sigh:: It really would, wouldn’t it?
Such a handsome some little man. I love what you write. Just beautiful.
Thank you! 🙂 He looks like his daddy….
I’ve enjoyed watching your photography improve over the months. I must say that through your 52 faces project I can see a lot of improvement!
