Through good and bad, sadness and joy, my heart lies with showing the goodness of God in all seasons. Especially the messy ones.
Every day society tells us that life has to be perfect and orderly to be beautiful. Our day-to-day should be a nothing less than perfect. We need a flawless aesthetic, a five year plan and perfectly curated social media. There's nothing glamorous about disorder and uncertainty. It's not "normal" to struggle.
But God wants to use those ugly parts, too. Those broken memories, those hidden struggles, and those less than beautiful moments.

No, not me…or Josh. Noah. Last night marked the first full night that Noah has slept. He woke up bright-eyed, hungry and wide awake at 6:00 am this morning. Not that either of us minded. It sure beat getting up at 1:00 and then getting up 5:00…All night. Out to the world. It was fabulous. […]
I had been meaning to post a few new pictures of the baby, but hadn’t gotten around to it. These are actually 2 of the only new ones I have taken since Christmas…I am slacking on the photography lately. I took almost 300 pictures during the 10 days at Christmas…now I have to take the […]
I stole this idea from Kelli’s “Feelings of a Pregnant Woman” blog…LOL I’m not pregnant, but I thought the idea was a good one. I don’t think people stop often enough to put their thoughts together and look at what they are truly happy about, what they are sad about (and therefore need to work […]
I’ve been pondering on 2 different subjects for the past few days, and thought there is no better way to “ponder” than to play on blogger. I keep telling myself that I should “ponder” on these in-depth thoughts in my journal that way I would have all of it in one place, but it’s too […]
We made the trip up to Alabama last Thursday afternoon to spend 10 days with the family for Christmas. Not only was it Noah’s first Christmas, but his first trip to Alabama…and the first time that most of our family has gotten the chance to see him. After 10 days of shopping, running, and being […]
Since Noah is sleeping (finally…something he did very little of last night) I decided to take a few minutes to type a very much needed update. I’ve definately got to try to find more time to keep things up to date on here. I’m slacking. But, I guess that’s the territory that comes with “Mommy-hood.” […]
The single greatest cause of atheism in the world today is Christians who acknowledge Jesus with their lips, then walk out the door and deny Him by their lifestyle. That is what an unbelieving world simply finds unbelievable. -Brennan Manning (dc Talk) I’m pretty sure that this blog is going to step on some people’s […]
I know it isn’t Mother’s Day or anything like that, but since being thrown into the “Mommy World” I must admit that I have a newfound respect for mother’s everywhere. When you are growing up (atleast when I grew up), I thought being an adult was simple, and being a mom was even easier. My […]
Josh and I were watching ESPN last night as E:60 did a story on a man named DJ Gregory. This was truly one of the most inspiring stories I have ever heard. I see the sports channels do stories on professional athletes and injured athletes all the time, but never have I seen a story […]
