That stuff you're afraid to talk about...the sin you think is too messy? We unpack that here...

Through good and bad, sadness and joy, my heart lies with showing the goodness of God in all seasons. Especially the messy ones.

There is purpose behind the

There is                  in the chaos,

Mess,

there is meaning in the

Every day society tells us that life has to be perfect and orderly to be beautiful. Our day-to-day should be a nothing less than perfect. We need a flawless aesthetic, a five year plan and perfectly curated social media. There's nothing glamorous about disorder and uncertainty. It's not "normal" to struggle.

But God wants to use those ugly parts, too. Those broken memories, those hidden struggles, and those less than beautiful moments.

God wants to use the ugly stuff, too...

I’ve always been one of those “people pleasing” kind of folks. I don’t like for people to be upset with me (usually…just depending on who you are and whether I really care or not) and I’m all about making sure everyone is taken care of. When I got married and had Little Man, I stopped […]

Everything to Everyone

My friend Kathryn from Our Tiny Big Life has started this amazing series for the month of September called Fall Into Grace. If I tried to put into words exactly what this series is about, I’d fall short in comparison to the spectacular introduction that Kathryn gave on her site: I’ve heard it said that […]

Fall into Grace: Why you were Given THIS Life

When you’re a kid, ten years seems like forever. An eternity that will never arrive. When you’re 13, you want to be 16 so that you can drive. When you’re 16 you want to be 18 so you can graduate. When you’re 18 you want to be 21 so that you can drink and be […]

10 Years Isn’t an Eternity

Who said this whole “parenting” thing was the hardest job in the world? Because they were right. I’m ready to throw in the towel these days, guys. “Three” is kicking my butt. Big Time. And we aren’t even at three yet. We’re still about six or seven weeks out. And I am tired. Tired of […]

I Don’t Want to be a Mom Today

One of the most frustrating things about trying to get pregnant, is dealing with the comments and input from people who A) don’t know that you are trying to conceive and therefore offer up their opinions on why you should be; or B) know that you are trying for another baby and continuously ask you […]

Things you shouldn’t say to a Woman who is TTC

This is supposed to be my Monday Morning Coffee post, but considering that it’s not quite midnight on Sunday evening and I’m doing my writing now, I’m just going to call it what it is: A big fat random array of words and jumbled thoughts. That I’m going to save and post first thing in […]

I’m so excited that I actually had a chance to sit down and READ (and comment) on so many blogs this week. I really miss the interaction and the creative energy flow when I miss out on some of your posts. You guys always spark new ideas for my own posts, and so often I […]

Spotlight Saturday

(If you are immediately curious about the title of this post, skip down to point number three…) It’s been a chaotic week (again…it’s sort of becoming a routine). My schedule is jam-packed with new potential client forms and questionnaires coming in every day. Little Man is giving me a run for my sanity with his […]

This week I learned about Snotsuckers.

I’ve mentioned before that high school wasn’t exactly the highlight of my life. And growing up in a small town no one has ever heard of was enough of an encouragement to do anything and everything that I could to leave my high school memories behind and make something of myself. I never wanted to […]

I Flunked out of College

If I’ve learned nothing else in life, it’s that you can’t let other people and what they say bother you. It’s tough, and I still struggle with it on occasion, but for the most part I’m one of those “we all have opinions” kind of people. I may not agree with you, you may not […]
