I feel like I’ve been somewhat lacking in creativity this past week. I think it is partly due to the dreary and snowy weather we’re getting. The sky is in a constant state of gray, and there is mushy, half melted snow all over the place. I found a place toward the back of the base, right near the docks, that I’m dying to go take some pictures of, but it’s just been too darn cold. I’m hoping for a sunny day sometime soon so I can head that way.
So, since I’m lacking any sort of creative juices right now and have absolutely nothing of interest to share with all of you, you get a nice little miscellaneous post about anything, everything, and nothing. Hope you don’t mind.

I’m terrible at keeping up with scrapbooks. Absolutely terrible. While I was pregnant with the little guy, I busted my butt and got most of mine and my husbands Wedding Album done. I’ve finished everything up to the morning of the wedding. I think even the photos that were taken at my hair and makeup appointment have been added, too. And I haven’t even started on the little guy’s book yet. I think I found a solution to my problem: Project Life.
I read about it on a blog I follow and started looking online for other examples of this scrapbook made easy. And I am in love with it. As much as I enjoy scrapbooking and the creativity of sitting down and designing a page by hand, I just don’t have time for it, nor do I have the room. So…I ordered it. At only $55.00, it was a steal compared to how much scrapbooking supplies cost. I’m going to use this for Noah’s baby scrapbook and hopefully I can get it caught up before his third birthday. Aside from ordering the photos and deciding which ones to use where, it seems like it’s a pretty simple deal. This is the one that I ordered:
It’s supposed to be here tomorrow, so once I get it and get started, I’ll be showing you guys the progress .I like this idea because I can easily print pages from my blog like Erin does for her daughters. I’m super excited about this. Can’t wait for my new toy to get here.
I’ve also seen where several people who use this project, are using it to create an entire years worth of memories by dedicating a double page spread to each week of the year. Once my new kit gets here and decide [though I’m already 99.99% sure how I feel about this project already] that I’m in love with it, I think I’ll order a second kit/album and take on that project as well. I’m already shooting a few photos nearly every day [now that I don’t feel the pressure of taking on Project 365] and see where I go with it. I really like the idea of capturing and journaling about our lives. I think that would be something so fun to have to look back on. Especially for Noah when he gets older.

I have found myself obsessed with Oatmeal Cookies the past few days. Not sure why, but nom nom. My mother-in-law started fixing these when we were staying with her last year and I got hooked. I found them in the commissary a few weeks ago, bought some, & forgot I had them until the other day. And now, I’m hooked. Again. This is great for my diet.

As of last Thursday, you guys have helped me to raise over $250 to give to my parents to help rebuild and replace everything that they have lost. This doesn’t include those of you who have contacted me and are sending personal items to them. There have been monetary donations, Etsy Shop Purchases and Ad Spaces bought here that all went toward helping them and I am beyond overwhelmed by your support, your love and your help during this. Project Family will continue to go on through April 30, so all ad space and Etsy Prints ordered prior to then, will be sent their way. Thank you, thank you, thank you all for your help.

I was tidying up my desk yesterday and realized that I still have FIVE magazines that I have purchased and never read (though I probably shouldn’t say that because the hubs will ban my magazine buying at the Commissary if he reads this). Guess I should make some time to sit and read those, huh?

Oh my GOSH! Who watched Army Wives last night?! Eeep!! Who’s husband do you think it’s going to be? My money is on Chase…considering Pamela has the opportunity to go to Atlanta for the Investigators job. However…according to the book, it should be Trevor. But that’s not much to rely on considering that the Holdens’ daughter didn’t die in the book [that I can remember]. Guess we will see! It’s turning out to be such a great season! Now let the countdown for Sunday begin…again.
Hope you guys have a great Monday!
