As you can see by the sheer lack of photos throughout most of the week this week, it’s been another busy one around here.
Saturday was the first Alabama football game of the season. We had a few friends over, enjoyed college football all day, and the little man and I made a cake. For those who are curious, yes at just (almost) four years old, this little boy enjoys football as much as his daddy does. Every time Bama scored, he cheered and jumped and yelled. It was great to see him to excited and into what was going on.
Sunday we got up and went to get brunch at the local Diner. Their club sandwiches are the bomb and have been a bit of a craving here and there for me since I got pregnant. Thankfully, my husband is always happy to oblige a trip out to eat. We picked up a few things at Walmart (new shelves, new pillows, etc. I’m in a “let’s make the house Fall-ish” mood) and then spent the afternoon cleaning. Sunday evening, I addressed our Gender Reveal Announcements and sent them out.
Monday was Labor Day, so the husband got a rare day off work. The sun was shining, it was actually pretty warm and breezy outside. We played outside, grilled some burgers, and I snagged a shot of the ever growing 28 week baby belly.
Tuesday the husband had his Advancement Ceremony at work. Noah and I got all dressed up and went in for the ceremony (in the pouring rain I might add). We are SO proud of him. He’s been working toward this for a while and it’s nice to see him compensated and awarded for his hard work. That afternoon, we had to go update our I.D. cards (since Josh made rank, they had to update all of that information) and Noah had a good time entertaining the office staff with his antics…and wearing his daddy’s hat.
Wednesday brought more rain and cooler temperatures, so we spent the day indoors playing blocks and legos.
Thursday I attempted to get some work done first thing, but was distracted by a certain someone most of the morning. (I bet you can’t guess who.) The sun came out and we spent some time outside enjoying the Fall weather and the warmth of the sunshine; knowing that our days of sun are limited during these months leading up to winter. We colored on the sidewalk and ran around the backyard before Noah finally collapsed at 6:00 last night. What you aren’ t seeing is the photo of him in the bathtub having a meltdown last night when I made him wake up so he would sleep last night. (If you missed THAT photo, you can find it-and me-on InstaGram.)
What was your week like?
Linking up with A Good Life, InstaFriday and the Essence of Now.
I think my favorite picture is Noah wearing Daddy’s hat. So cute.
Mine, too! I loved that photo so much that I’m hoping to get a nice sunny day so I can take some real photos of him with the hat. He was too cute to not snag some with the “good” camera.
I just love this format. And the belly? So cute!!
Plus the little guy is an angel.
Thank you, Natalie! 🙂 I’m pretty fond of him. He can be a sweetheart when he wants to be.
Sounds like a busy but fun week! My hubby is big on college football so I understand how your 4 year-old could be into it at such a young age thanks to Daddy’s influence 🙂
Great pics!
Oh yes. The kiddo is a football nutcase. It amuses me that he can be so into it (and legitimately understand parts of it) the way that he is.
