Just some random sentences…

Welcome back to another No Mom Talk Monday!  Unfortunately I don’t have any great, wonderful, super inspiring posts for you today. It’s been a chaotic and busy weekend, so I didn’t have much time to sit at the computer to write out any of my ideas. Sorry! 🙁 But I’ll be back tomorrow with fresh content that is hopefully as worth as this post was.  This week, you get another random post. A Miscellany Monday type rambling.

{ONE}

The hubs and I visited our first church here in Kodiak yesterday. It was a small, older church, but the people were friendly and welcoming. And Little Man did well in the nursery.The preacher did an interesting sermon on Exodus and how we should follow God’s rules without complaining. It was a little more in-depth than that…maybe one day this week I’ll write it out. It was pretty good.

{TWO}

I finally made some decisions about upgrading my camera. 🙂 Not that most of you even knew I was in debate. Haha. I’d been checking into the Canon 50D…but decided that instead of making a small leap, and then needing an upgrade in a year or two, that I’m just going to jump straight to the 7D and learn to use it completely. That will buy some extra time to learn my camera, master some skills, and build up my collection of lenses and equipment. There is a huge need on this island for Wedding/Engagement Photographers…but I’m not sure how long it will be before I feel ready to take that on. There is a lot of equipment that I will need before then; not to mention all of the business aspects that will need to be squared away. But I’m excited. Eager to learn. Eager to expand my knowledge base. Beyond eager to bring in some revenue for my family.

{THREE}

Project Life came in the mail the other day! I started getting it set up this weekend and plan to spend some major time this week journaling and inserting the Little Guy’s pictures. Hopefully by Friday I’ll have some of it done and I can show it to you guys. Debating on whether I want to take plain ole pictures OR do another vlog to showcase it. Decisions, decisions.

{FOUR}

It was absolutely beautiful here this weekend. We went to the park to play softball with some friends, and the hubs took me out the other day to take some photos. Some of them turned out really great…but you’ll just have to check back to see them. Hehe. Sorry. I know that was totally cruel.

{FIVE}

Ummm….who watched Army Wives?! Did you guess it right? I had it figured out before the episode aired [and didn’t even cheat!] but I spend the entire hour crying. No spoilers…but WOW. That’s all I can say. Wow. Love this show. And this season. Absolute best show on television. Ever.
