I’m so angry with my Window’s Live Writer Program this morning, because this post didn’t go up when it was supposed to. So, make sure you go read this, even though it was late! : )
Today I’m Guest Posting for Jessica @ Freckles and Dirt! She’s a super sweet gal, who’s also a photoshop addict (or should I say, “changing her blog around” addict…)
At some point in all of our lives, we reach a point where we throw our hands up and say, “This isn’t fair!”
We heard it from our parents, from our grandparents, and probably even from our teachers growing up…life in general just really isn’t fair. We can’t change it. We can’t alter it. It’s one of those steadfast and unshakeable truths that we all have to accept and learn to live with.
But what happens when the “it isn’t fair” syndrome crosses over and merges with the idea that our faith and our beliefs just can’t hold up? What happens when, instead of saying that the proverbial “this” isn’t fair, we alter our mindset to “faith” isn’t fair; or God isn’t fair?
It’s no question that everyone eventually finds themselves between a rock and a hard place. We struggle, we fail, we start to wane and lose all sense of hope. We get angry and frustrated and start casting blame on anyone and everyone we can cast blame on. We see bad things happening to good people. We see ourselves (or friends/family) working and clawing our way toward a goal, only to be knocked down and buried under a heaping pile of “this just isn’t going to happen.”
