Tomorrow we leave behind the “Lower 48” and head to our new home in Alaska.
Tomorrow we get to see how well our little guy handles air travel.
Tomorrow we have to try to haul 3 suitcases, 1 garment bag, 1 Sea Bag, a backpack, a computer bag, a purse, and two kiddie backpacks into the airport to put on a plane.
**Note: YES. We are actually carrying that much luggage with us. “Why” you ask? Our Household Goods won’t be arriving to the island for up to 3-5 weeks. So unless I intended to wash laundry every day, bringing more than a few changes of clothes was a must.
Tomorrow I will have my own house again.
Tomorrow we will officially be 4783.79 miles [according to Mapquest] from any family.
Tomorrow they will box all of our things up in storage and prepare to have them delivered to us…and I’m on pins and needles hoping that everything arrives safely and in one piece [rather than several].
Tomorrow the day that we have anticipated for nearly three months will finally be here.
Tomorrow our cross-country journey will be over.
Tomorrow we will be home…
Thanks to all of you who have kept our little family in your thoughts and prayers over the past week or so. The drive across the country was a blast and we had a wonderful time. The drive went as smoothly as anyone could hope and we are anxious to reach our new home. I’ll keep you posted!
