I stole this idea from Kelli and thought it was really unique and a great idea for an “about me” post. It really made me think…hope to see this pop up on some other blogs. 🙂 With as much Creativity as you can muster, show your heart in:a picture, a poem, a song, a quote, an item of clothing, a place, and a Disney princess
This is probably my all-time favorite picture. This shows the only two people that hold my heart…My husband and my son. They are the reason that I wake up and the reason I strive to be the best wife and mother I can be.
For the Poem…”The Road Less Traveled” by Robert Frost. It’s always been a favorite. In our society it is so easy to get got up in the ways of the world. This poem talks about standing out and making your own bath…doing the things that are right not necessarily what is accepted. This poem gave me a lot of “wisdom” throughout high school.
I have so many songs that could describe my heart…To name a few “Lessons Learned” by Carrie Underwood, “Letter to Me” by Brad Paisley, & “The Climb” by Miley Cyrus…Carrie and Brad because they talk about mistakes made in the past, learning from them, and how just because you THINK things are great they can always get better. And Miley Cyrus because I LOVE the lyrics of this song…making mountains move and never giving up on what you want to achieve.
I have two favorite quotes…both are about the ways that God has our lives in the palm of his almighty hands. Why worry about anything when the creator of this complex and vast universe is in total control?
“Each and every experience God gives us; each person he puts in our lives is in in perfect preparation for the future that only he can see.”
“I believe that God is managing my life and doesn’t need my advice. With God in charge I believe that everything will work out for the best in the end. So, what is there to worry about?” -Henry Ford.
I LOVE blue jeans…particularly from American Eagle. They are comfy and relaxing…you can dress them up or down and show off whatever style you want! If I lived somewhere where the weather would allow it, I could wear jeans every day.
The beach…my favorite place in the whole entire world. The two most significant things in my life happened on the beach. 1) Josh proposed to me on the beach at sunset. 2) I found out I was pregnant at the beach. There has never been a moment spent at the beach that I did not enjoy. Some of my best memories in life are at the beach.
Absolutely no question as to which Disney Princess…Ariel. My all time favorite Disney movie, my favorite Disney character. She is the epitome of a dreamer. She dreamed big of getting past the “status quo” and dreamed of her own fairy tale true love. She loved adventure and was amused and in love with the little things in life.
