I loved reading this post! It is so true, I love all the little lessons I learn from my daughter, children are just fantastic.

  2. Courtney says:

Funny because I was just talking about this last night. Went to our community group meeting last night – new group, new people. Kids immediately formed friendships and played like they’d known one another for years while the adults casually made small talk and began to feel one another out – slowly. I said to our pastor “wouldn’t it be great if we remained as open minded and accepting as adults as we were as children? What happens to us?” I’ve always given all the credit as a parent to my children. It’s a learning process – for all of us.

  3. Kir says:

What a truly gorgeous post. Truly. I have learned so many things from children, the most important; that forgiveness is always within reach and that it’s the little things that matter. Your son is teaching US all . Thank goodness for his big heart and your amazing words.

  4. So many truths. I often say that I didn’t realize how flawed I was until I had kids!

  5. Jessica says:

Children really are great for being teachers sometimes. We expect that we will be the ones teaching them everything but in reality they teach us lessons.

  6. Lindsey says:

This is so true. And now I’m thinking about the point where kids do start to hold grudges and label people. How can we make it so they never have to do that again?
Just this morning we were at the pool. My daughter looked across the deck and asked me “Mommy, why is that lady brown?” They notice our differences, but aside from a natural curiosity it doesn’t mean anything to them. I like that.

  7. Jackie says:

We have come into the world with no feelings of hatred, jealousy, etc. Kids and innocent brain is an example of how the world can be without the negative feelings.

  8. Holly says:

so so so wise!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Love it!

  9. Jessica says:

I particularly am impressed by the second lesson on your list. My toddler doesn’t hold grudges. She loves me unconditionally and just wants to see her mommy happy. Knowing this inspires me daily to be better, try harder to be the best that I can be for her. I still have my tough days, but I hope to make those days a lot less than my good days.

  10. Ashley Sisk says:

Those are all really great lessons – kids are so wise!
