Another week has come and gone my friends. Hard to believe that we are already halfway through the month of June. Where on EARTH is this year going? 2011 has been a quick one, I tell ya. And this week has been pretty busy in the “K” household. The husband’s birthday was yesterday, so we spent (most of) the day celebrating. We’re grilling out with our neighbors tonight, and most likely getting together with some more friends tomorrow to celebrate the husband hitting the big 3-0. Oh, and of course Father’s Day is Sunday. So this week has pretty much been all about the hubs. Which is cool. Because mama has a birthday in July. And I plan to take the entire week to celebrate, too. Haha. Anywho.
Here are the MANY shots I took with the iTouch this week:
[ONE & TWO] Since we are celebrating the husband’s birthday again tonight with some friends, I asked him to choose another treat he’d like for his birthday instead of cake or cupcakes (because two entire cakes in our home is just not a good idea). So he went with brownies. Walnut Brownies. With Caramel. Shoot me now. Of course, the little guy had to help…and we used candles and sang happy birthday—just the three of us.
[THREE & FOUR] Sitting on the kitchen counter the other afternoon waiting on Daddy to get off work. I looked out the window and realized that things around here are finally turning green. And it’s so pretty when the stupid clouds are gone and the sun shines.
[FIVE] The Cars 2 paraphernalia has finally made its way to the island Walmart. I became the hero when I let Little Man get the brand new it doesn’t look any flippin different than the Lightning McQueen in Cars the original Lightning McQueen Car. Oh, and he got Mater…Tow Mater. [SIX]
Remember me telling you how bad I was at folding laundry? How it will almost always sometimes just sit in the basket until I get sick of looking at it and decide to fold it? That’s what this is. Three loads of laundry waiting to be folded. What you don’t see, is the SECOND basket that was in our bedroom.
[SEVEN & EIGHT] Because of my possibly irrational fears that I won’t be able to get pregnant now that we are officially trying, I bought Ovulation Tests. That way I will know when and if I ovulate. Because right now, not starting to ovulate again is my biggest worry. And sorry to those of you (ahem…like my friend KK…hehe) who I totally freaked out with this photo. Didn’t mean to get everyone all excited thinking it was a pregnancy test. Hopefully soon!!
[NINE] My son, in all of his goofy glory, posing for the camera. He’s really not as chunky as he looks…I promise. [TEN] I bought myself a little sumthin, sumthin for the husband’s birthday (that’s allowed, right?). After almost 5 months on this island, they finally got in some cute iPod cases. So I splurged. And spent an entire $15 on this new little goody.
[ELEVEN] I bought myself a present for the husband’s birthday. Got this little pretty on sale at Walmart for $15. After 5 months, they’ve finally started getting a few things in that are worth a crap. (Second Photo)Just me and the dude… [TWELVE] I’ve always loved the way the Mrs. Butterworth’s bottles looked…and it’s such fabulous syrup.
[THIRTEEN & FOURTEEN] It’s a rare, and special, occasion to find fresh fruit that tastes good on base. And these strawberries were phenomenal.
[FIFTEEN] As was this turkey and cheese sandwich…with Parmesan Goldfish…and sliced cheese. That I’ve had for lunch EVERY day this week, except one. [SIXTEEN] The only color and greenery we ever see on this island. The poor little poser flowers that make my day just a little bit happier.
