Feature Friday: Giving Credit where Credit is due

Okay, I said I wasn’t going to start this until next Friday, but I told a tiny little white lie. Because I’ve read some really great blogs this week and I felt the need to share them with you all today. That way, in case you are looking for some weekend reading or just haven’t checked out these great reads, you can.

Since this is the first time I’ve done this, I’ll give you the rundown on exactly what it’s about. There are no rules or anything like that. Just simply me posting a list of my favorite blogs [not bloggers…those are in the blogroll] from the week. There may be 10 or there may be two, it just depends on what I read during the week. This list is updated throughout the week. As I find a blog that I absolutely love, I go ahead and include it in this list so it’s scheduled for Friday.

So here we go! Today’s list of blogs for my very first Feature Friday!

 

• Mommy’s Miracles: Love the One your With: I actually found this blog first thing this morning via a twitter stream and I was blown away by this post. The mommy, Laura, shares her ideas and views on marriage and how they compare to the views of this crazy, media driven world we live in. You guys have to read this.
• Theta Mom: You are not Alone: I’ve been reading Theta Mom for a while. Back when she was still on blogger and her posts always strike a nerve. Whether she’s writing about blogging or writing about motherhood, she always has something great to share. This post was no different. It’s ironic because I had been feeling EXACTLY what she wrote about earlier in the week so it hit dead on. Whether you’re a stay-at-home mom, a work-at-home mom, or a working mom, you need to read this post; because like the title entails you are not alone.
• From Here to Eternity: I’m 25 and full of beauty: This post made me smile, made me cry, made me give Jhen a big fat cheer from behind my computer screen as she embraced the beauty that womanhood is. The beauty that motherhood is; the beauty within ourselves that we all tend to overlook. Jhen is a beautiful person inside and out and her blog always leaves me feeling happy and thankful for the blessings in my life. She has a beautiful heart and you’re sure to see many of her posts here on Feature Friday.
• The Mommyologist: Things I never thought I’d say till I had a kid: This post needs no explanation. You just have to go read it. Because I sat there laughing out loud and nodding my head when I read it.

These are just a few of the blogs I’ve enjoyed this week. I really could have probably listed about 25 or so, but I want to save some for another week.
