Daddy :)

We had been waiting on this moment for several weeks now, and it finally came. Noah said his first word today. I don’t mean ‘dada’ or ‘baba’ either. I mean an actual word. Josh was in the shower after he got home from work and I was playing with Noah. He was sitting up on my knees playing airplane with me and Josh opened the bathroom door and smiled at him. Just as simply as it could be, Noah looked at him and gave him that big toothy grin and said “Daddy!” and clapped his hands.

I literally almost cried. LOL I know I’m a big softie. That was just one of those key moments when you truly realize that this little person is your responsibility and you get to teach him everything. It was surreal. I know that everyone with kids understands what I mean, and for those of you who don’t have your own yet, you will. It’s just a breathtaking moment. Anyway. I was utterly ecstatic and wanted to share with everyone. 🙂

Oh yea, Congrats to Kelli & Rob Bates on baby Norah Claire! She arrived yesterday, and I’m sure she is beautiful! Our God is so amazing!
