On Monday I showed you a few SOOC shots of our view here in Alaska. You can head over and take a look at those if you want. We’ve gotten a few nice days of sunshine this week, and I’m hoping it hold out for the weekend. We’ll be celebrating my birthday with friends all weekend, so it would be nice to be able to sit outside, let the kids run around, and just relax while we grill. Rather than battle the cold, windy, rainy days that we are accustomed to.
A few weeks ago we took a drive down one of the only roads here on the island. It leads back up into the mountains and the views are breathtaking no matter which direction you look. See for yourself:
I have to agree. I don’t know that I’ve ever been anywhere where the views were as gorgeous as what we have here. It makes all of the “hard” aspects of being here worth it.
