I wish I had something exciting to share today.
I have a list of “topics” and blog post ideas to implement. Lots of really fun things I want to share with you guys…
But, since I spent every night last night working until almost 1:00 am, I opted to go to bed and lay down at the same time my husband did last night and didn’t get around to writing anything new and exciting. I didn’t get to implement those great ideas. But, don’t worry. They are coming. Fun, hilarious (maybe…though I don’t exactly consider myself to be a “funny” person) and real posts that I think you guys are going to love.
In other news, business is going great. Like, really great. I get to redesign one of my very best bloggy friends sites’ for her this week. I ordered my new Apple iMac yesterday. I am over-the-moon excited about it. I’ve had my eyes on an iMac for months and months and months. And soon, one shall be mine. I’ve converted the husband to an Apple fan. He’s asking for a MacBook Air for Christmas. I knew when he bought his iTouch that he would be converted. It was just a matter of time.
Little Man is stringing together sentences like it’s nobodies business these days. Repeating things, forming new words and thoughts. It’s amazing. And totally making my heart break at how fast he’s growing up. Seriously, someone left that tidbit of information out of the parenting manual. It’s hard to believe that he’s turning three in a few WEEKS. As in, eight weeks. I can’t believe I’m already planning another birthday party.
I went to a Photography Workshop with Amy @ Simply B Photos this past weekend. I’m still in debate as to whether or not I want to do Photography professionally. It’s an internal battle. Because I really, really love the Design Business. Like, a lot. A whole lot. I loved Design when I was in college and that love has totally rekindles itself now that I’m doing it more often. I really can’t picture myself ever not designing.
On a last minute note, make sure you come back tomorrow for a really great giveaway that I’m sure you guys are going to love. And the second month of the Still Life Standouts linkup goes live on Friday! So get your shots ready!
Have a great Monday, guys!
One last thing…wanted to link this photo up with Good to Wow’s theme this week. The actual theme is “shadows” I think…but my friend Jana took this shot the other day and sent it to me to edit. I’m really loving it.
[…] Three August 25, 2011 By Courtney K. Leave a Comment On Monday, I showed you guys a picture that my friend Jana snapped while we were out for a quick modeling […]
Oh, I must be old~I had an apple in college~no iMacs yet! I do love my iMac now, though.
Very cute shot and I look forward to your edit.
I used MAC’s in college, too. Don’t think they were iMacs though. LOL
I want to marry my iMac…. And date all of the people who work in our local Apple store.
Woot woot on the biz! Way to go!
Haha! I love the Apple store. I’d be in SO MUCH trouble if there was one close by.
I love my iMac! I have had one since college and I wouldn’t have anything else, although I do want a laptop so I’m thinking I’ll need a MacBook soon :). I know what you mean about not going to bed ’til 1:00 AM, I am on the same page, for sure.
Take it easy this week!!!
I told my husband after I got my iTouch that I would never, ever purchase another PC. Now that I’m designing and bringing in some income, there was no reason NOT to buy the MAC. Can’t WAIT for it to get here! And yeah….I’m already planning on a MacBook before BlogHer next year.
So glad the design business is booming for you! I knew it would! But I do hope you can get a better routine going so you aren’t up until 1am every night… that must be hard! Can’t wait to read about the new ideas!
Aww, thank you, Mandi! I’m excited and it feels so good to be contributing a bit to our family. I’m caught up for now, so I’m hoping those 1:00 am bedtimes are done with for a while. 🙂
I think you will love your new Mac once you figure out how to use it. I’ve had mine for about 2 weeks and the best thing was the Genius Bar I told you about. I’m going back this week for my second session to learn more about making videos with iMovie. Glad to hear you love doing design so much. I just got started in photography and I can see what is to love about it I’m having fun with my new camera.
I made a note to make sure I get that Genius Bar! I’m hoping the learning curve won’t be too crazy…but I doubt it. I remember using MAC in college and it took some getting used to. But I’m excited. You went with the Canon 5D right? I’m getting the 7D for Christmas and I am over-the-moon excited to start playing with it. Let me know if you have any questions! Check out that “Day With Amy Workbook” link in my sidebar. It’s REALLY informative and there is loads of great getting started info there!
