So, I asked Josh for a new day planner as part of my birthday gift this year. Mine from last year has “lapsed” and it’s time for a new one. I want one this year that’s going to last. I usually just invest in the cheap ones from Wal-Mart that either tear up or don’t have enough room for me to write all the stuff that I want to write. I was thinking of a getting one of those nice leather ones that you just buy the refill paper for every year. I haven’t really seen alot of those that don’t cost more than I’m willing to pay.
I wish I could find somewhere that let me design my OWN planner. Wouldn’t that be cool? I feel like I always buy a bunch of stuff that I don’t use. I really don’t use an address book. That’s one of the few things I actually store in my cell phone. Or appointment schedules with the times and stuff like that…Nah. Never use them. I did find a few really cute, very organized, RIDICULOUSLY expensive planners online today. Seriously, who pays $98.00 for a day planner? Or worse, $150.00? I have to admit though the planners I found at Trulymom.com are pretty nice. They are 3-fold, with a shopping list, post it notes, and memo pad on the inside flap, a monthly and weekly calendar on the inside, a “My day” scheduler on the back flap, a Holiday Gift Planner, and an address book. Plus a pen and a pocket flap…again not paying $98.00.
Ideally, I would love a planner that has large monthly calendar space, NO LINES (I hate that…for some reason…) on the weekly planner space, the shopping list and post it pads, a place to put our budget, a note section (this is where I would be ok with the lines…lol) for me to write down to-do’s or whatever, a pen (and I mean a good pen, not a cheap crappy one that clots or bleeds), bright colored pages, pleather with my Name on it…
LOL Anyway, I was just amused at the over priced day-planners out there and thought I would share it with all of my loyal readers. I’ll keep you posted on the day-planner search. If you ladies are as particular as I am, you understand that you really do have to find the one that works best for you and that you aren’t wasting pages in. Or atleast, I do. 🙂
