We made the trip up to Alabama last Thursday afternoon to spend 10 days with the family for Christmas. Not only was it Noah’s first Christmas, but his first trip to Alabama…and the first time that most of our family has gotten the chance to see him.
After 10 days of shopping, running, and being passed around from person to person to be held and hugged on, I think the poor little guy is ready to go back to Florida to our nice, quiet little apartment. Just me, him and his daddy. But, he did get lots of cute little toys, plenty of stuffed animals, a swing, and his Great Mama Nell made him a really cute quilt and a travel pillow with his name on it. I’ll admit I’m a little jealous of the pillow…Noah and Josh both have their own personalized travel pillows, and I don’t have one. 🙂 Oh well…I went to TJ Max today and bought some new pillows for the living room, so I’ll use those. Noah also got a ton of clothes, but they are all FLEECE! We live in central Florida, where “cold” weather = 60 degrees. The child doesn’t need fleece…so we had to go exchange all of that for stuff he will actually get some use out of. We are loaded down with diapers and wipes too. Josh’s cousin Marty is expecting a baby in April, so while everyone was buying HER baby gifts, they insisted on buying for Noah too. I don’t know how we are going to get all this stuff back to Florida…we will probably look like the Griswalds when we head back…packed in there like a bunch of Sardines. Oh well…it’s gotta get back some how.
We had to swap the baby’s formula while we were home. Poor little guy has come down with serious acid reflux the past few weeks. We had him on Similac Advance since he was born, but all of a sudden that wasn’t doing anything but making him sick. We swapped him over yesterday to Enfamil AR…keep your fingers crossed that this stuff works. So far, he is taking to it very well. He actually slept for 4 straight hours last night. A BIG improvement from the 2 hours he was sleeping before. Hopefully, this will get his little tummy straight and he (and mommy and daddy) can all start getting some rest. Anyways, I put some pictures on here for everyone to admire. LOL I’m a pretty proud mama, and extremely partial to my little guy. Hope everyone else had a good Christmas.
